Brilliant White for the summer

Yeah!  Just had the whole exterior of our house painted!  Finally it is done...no more peeling paint!  My house feels so solid now.  I couldn't stand driving up to my home and seeing it look messy.  The painters were here for a week and I am so happy to see them go.  I really don't like having strangers around.  You know how it is.  You get up in the morning in your p.j.'s and there is someone right outside your window working and looking at you!  Ugh!  More work to be done though and it isn't so bright and sunny...we have some dry rot issues and water just came pouring inside from a rotted gutter.  We were running around yesterday cleaning up pools of water in our home.  Never ends does it.  Home ownership can be tough with all the maintenance and expense of repairs!  Looks pretty though!

Our shed in the backyard even got a face lift.  Looks so fresh and sparkly.  Now to tackle all the other jobs.  Landscaping, new driveway, rotting wooden gutters, interior painting, new appliances, and the list goes on and on.  Help!  I think I am ready to move into a condo!
I am loving this summer weather.  Nice and hot!  House paint is Brilliant White by Benjamin Moore Paints.  Shutter paint, Black Forest Green by Benjamin Moore.

The white looks great! There is nothing more classic in my opinion. I hope you're able to get the rest of the exterior issues solved without too much pain. I totally understand not wanting to lose the privacy, I'm totally like that too...even when something fun is being accomplished.

It looks amazing! We need to paint our old colonial too, and unfortunately, I can relate to some of your other issues too!

I love your shed too!

It looks beautiful! I cleaned out part of my laundry room, yesterday, and it gives me an instant "boost" just to walk past that clean area. But I also have a very long list to tackle.

That is quite the facelift your house got, it looks beautiful! Just in time to enojy a bright and sunny summer too- enjoy your weekend!

How pretty! The to-do list is always a long one isn't it? We still have such a long way to go on our home that I am considering making a list of "things we have done" as a reminder that even though it doesn't look finished, we have made real progress fixing up this old house!

I love white houses, such a classic feel. Your house is beautiful! I know what you mean about keeping the house up when you want to do more cosmetic things. Our garage door just broke. That is not what I wanted to spend money on right now.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
