My French Reading Lamps Are Finally Here

Finally!  Waiting forever for these petite handmade French reading lamps from Galerie des Lampes.  They are here and I am really enjoying my new reading "nook" in my living room.  I think they are just the right size for this area and are beautifully handcrafted.  However, I need something really interesting on either side of the window to hang on the empty wall space.  Space needs more personality.  Seems very bare bones right now and a little too neutral.  My one wish would be to NOT have that wall radiator right under the window!  I really despise the thing.  Ruins the whole look for me!  Thinking of painting it the same as the wall color but then thought it would just be this "ugly" thing painted!

Now back to my reading!

Your new lamps are the perfect compliment to your chairs. Great style, scale and finish! Love it. Just popped over to their site to check out some lamps for a client. Thank you for sharing.
Best,

p.s. where did you source your wing back chairs?

The lamps are beautiful, you are creating a nice quiet haven in your home! What about a small table either cut or built to hide the radiator, a place to put your coffee or tea...there are so many great ways to hide those not so lovely boxes!!!

What an elegant, clean, chic reading nook! I actually think the whole thing is so pretty even the radiator looks great in the color it's in!! I'm super picky but it doesn't bother me at all in the image.

* J~ Just "found" your blog & certainly enjoyed the read, pics of your WONDERFUL HOME ("you go, girl"! Keep TAKING YOUR TIME to GET IT JUST RIGHT!!!) & see your darling personality shining thru!

I went back to see many of your older blogs n' enjoyed every single one! (ESPECIALLY your Christmas pics!)~

Our niece lives in Cambridge & I always LOVE seeing pics of their wonderful, magnificent snow~~~ it just "MAKES" Christmas sooo, well, "CHRISTMAS"!!! (We live in the desert now & aren't skiing much anymore, so we just see snow ahead in the mountains)...

Will enjoy watching as you proceed in making it say "Jamilyn & family"! (It almost makes me want to be a young adult starting our lives together again!!! Such FUN!!!)...

Enjoy the process! Warmest wishes,
