I also read that there are slate roofs and floors in India that have been around for over 1,000 years! Now, this roof was installed when the house was built in the 1940s and I was told would be very expensive to install now. I was also told that we will never have to worry about it much other than minor repairs or replace a cracked tile. I don't know, it just makes me feel good to look at it!!!!!!!
